Gary Myers founded the firm in 1973. Daniel Conway took over the firm in January 2019. We were one of the first firms ever to handle exclusively military cases. We may be the oldest military law firm in existence. Over the last five decades, the firm has handled cases some of the most important cases in military history.

On March 16, 1968, Soldiers were accused of killing hundreds of civilians in My Lai, Vietnam. The Company Commander - Captain Medina - was accused of shooting a woman, a small boy, and generally failing to control his troops. He was acquitted of all charges.
As a young Judge Advocate, Gary Myers - the founding partner - became involved in the court-martial of CPT Ernesto Medina as counsel for CPT Medina's radio operator. Fredrick Widmer was a key witness, because CPT Medina's defense team intended to blame the radio operator for one of the murders that CPT Medina was charged with.

On 4 March 2007, Marine Corps Special Operations Command members came under attack during a deployment to Afghanistan. After engaging the threat, the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Counsel later alleged that upwards of 19 civilians were killed and 50 were injured.
